I gave this 3 stars only because it was an interesting enough story that I kept reading. It got a lot of hype (which might be one reason I was so disappointed) and it was supposed to be really creepy. People were on FB saying how they couldn’t read it at night. So I was so excited to read it! I completely disagree. I didn’t find it creepy and it didn’t scare me at all. But what bothered me the most was how predictable it was. Not necessarily that I guessed the ending, but the author foreshadows enough that you figure it out as you go. I LOVE plot twists and I was sure there was going to be one, but not really (there is 1 plot twist but not about the end of the book). I just felt like the author hand delivered the ending to you. I would have much rather ended the book shocked. Those are the types of endings I really enjoy.
