If you leave a door half-open, soon you'll hear the whispers spoken.
If you play outside alone, soon you won't be going home.
If your windows left unlatched, you'll hear him tapping at the glass.
If you're lonely, sad, and blue, the Whisper Man will come for you.

After the death of his wife, Tom Kennedy thinks he and his son need a fresh start. They move to the town of Featherbank unknowing about its frightening past. Twenty years ago, a serial killer abducted and murdered five residents of Featherbank. Frank Carter was caught and imprisoned for the deaths. The residents called him "The Whisper Man" because he would lure his victims by whispering at their windows. Just as Tom and Jake settle in, another victim vanishes and causes a stir among the small town as they believe The Whisper Man may have an accomplice.

While reading The Whisper Man, I was definitely getting some Freddy Kreuger vibes. It was very creepy and such a great thriller. The character development and plot were top notch. I can appreciate the detective work and the fact that Pete, one of the detectives on the case, had a past with The Whisper Man.
