Thanks to Celadon Books for my free advanced reader's copy of The Whisper Man!!

This is now one of my favorite books this year. It was super creepy and I loved every second of it.
The packaging it came within the mail, was far beyond my expectation of book mail with its spooky card and song that arrived with a copy of the book. It not only gave me all the hype I needed to read this spooky novel, but the passion from the author made me extremely pumped to start reading.

With that said, I immediately started reading the following day and even joined a buddy read with some other Bookstagram ladies and it's been really fun discussing the book with them and all its creepy scenes. I think it was a perfect book for me at the right time. I haven't read many spooky books this year besides most recently The Haunting and prior to that Little Darlings.

Sinister (the movie) is very similar to this book. However, do not let that change or ruin your judgment or assumption on this book. It's own in its own way, for sure. But I can't help but ponder over the similarities.

Both fathers in the book and movie are authors.
They both moved into a new house that was haunted.

And even though in Sinister the friend in town was the cop, it was close enough to in The Whisper Man, the cop was the father of Tom Kennedy (the author) in the book.

I didn't take away the passion for me as a reader though, it just made me know ahead that I was going to enjoy this thoroughly, which can now be confirmed that I absolutely did without a doubt.

I enjoyed this book so much, that I am truly ecstatic to hear that it has been picked up by the Russo Brothers for a major motion pictured film. I have no idea as to when this will come about, but all I can say is that I am thrilled and am highly anticipating it.

I loved the way it made me want to keep reading and how quickly I got invested into the characters, that there was utter suspense through it all and I just couldn't honestly put it down. Loved it.
