I read this book as part of a buddy read on Instagram and it was so far out of my comfort zone. The book had many creepy scenes and I could only read it during the daytime. I really enjoyed the writing style and father/son dynamics. I did not really connect with the main character, Tom but I really enjoyed Pete’s character. The story was written in alternating perspectives and that broke up the plot and made it more intriguing. It kept me coming back for more. I do not normally read thrillers, but I would classify this one as part thriller and part police drama. The creepy factor did not really continue through the entire book so it may fall short for some readers that read a lot of thrillers, but I really enjoyed it.
