This book should only be read during the day. You will obsessively lock your doors and windows to prevent the Whisper Man from enticing your children to join him. We are taken to a small town that has suffered at the hands of The Whisper Man who is now behind bars. The residents are quickly taken back to that time of terror when a copy cat seems to have taken residence. Who is this person, how can they keep the kids safe and what happened to the young boy that vanished on his way home. The writing is great and the way the story is constructed kept me on my toes and wanting to read more. Alex North did a great job creating a super creepy atmosphere and I could really hear the Whisper Man as he talks with the children. This is more of a slow burn thriller than a fast read but still very enjoyable. A solid 4 star read for me - fell just a bit short but overall very good.
