"...over the years I've told you many times that there's no such thing as monsters.
I'm sorry that I lied."

Twenty years ago, the town of Featherbank experienced a string of child abductions turned murders. The culprit was dubbed "The Whisper Man" because all of the children heard whispering outside of their windows at night.

DI Pete Willis cracked the case all those years ago, but could never let the fact go that one boy was never found.

Fast forward to present day to Tom and his seven year old son, Jake who move into a house with "character" in Featherbank.

Shortly before their move, a young boy in Featherbank has gone missing and all signs point to a Whisper Man copycat.

The Whisper Man was such a slow burn for me! Alex North weaved such an incredibly creepy story.

The opening letter at the beginning of The Whisper Man drew me in instantly. I loved the mystery and anticipation of who these characters are and their importance in the book.
