I’ve seen this book and author all over bookstagram and now I know why! I’m so glad I finally got to The Whisper Man, it was a perfect spooky season read! It did start out a bit on the slow side for me and I’m not sure I ever totally connected with the main character Tom. However, this was still a really strong story simply because of the amazing plot. It was so well crafted and thought out and had a lot of creepy atmospheric elements and some very VERY creepy people. I did want a little bit more on some of the explanations, but it was enough to leave me happy with it. I did feel like this fell more into the somewhat creepy or spooky category and had expected it to be a little bit scarier based on all the other reviews I’ve seen. So if you don’t scare easily, adjust your expectations a bit. If you are one of the few who haven’t read this one yet, I definitely recommend you give it a try! 4/5⭐️
