This book came as a part of my monthly book subscription, and I had already heard quite a few mixed reviews about it. Let me be upfront in saying that I do not typically enjoy books with supernatural elements. However, this book had a supernatural plot strand that was weaved in among the rest of the plot perfectly.
This book focuses on Tom and his son Jake, who has moved to Featherbank to escape the memory of their recently deceased wife and mother. Featherbank holds a dark secret, however. Twenty years ago it was the site of twenty murders, where young boys went missing and turned up dead. The man behind the murders, The Whisper Man, has been locked up for years but Detective Pete doesn't quite believe that the case is closed, especially after another boy goes missing just a few weeks ago.
This book was captivating and I tore through it quickly, anxious to see where it would take me. It did not disappoint, and I would not hesitate to recommend this to anyone that enjoys thrillers.
