I could not for the life of me get into this book. It seemed like a cheap knock off of a psycho movie. The man whispering to the people to scare them was something of a childhood nightmare — not a book for adults. Maybe the book was meant for younger adults or teens. I could see how it would be scary to some, but I don't find the idea of a whispering man very original. I love thrillers, and this didn't seem to fit that profile for me. I thought of it as a scary fairytale you would tell in high school or college late at night during a slumber party. I had high hopes or this book. I loved the cover, and the reviews were good, so when I started to get into it and didn't like it, it was disappointing, to say the least.
