This book is such a stunning thriller. I'm not usually a thriller reader, so this was a great diving in point to spark my interest in the genre.

This book really isn't spooky or scary, except for a scene or two. It rides the line between thriller and mystery, but the suspense was there and I couldn't put the book down.

That being said, I felt like the ending was a cop-out. Without reveling too much, there wasn't really any way you could have guessed who did it because the author sort of hid the character from you until the big reveal. Also, some of the clues were so obviously giant plot points that mattered so much to the ending.

I struggled to rate this book, I'd be happy giving it a 3.5 because i feel like it's a great book to segway into this genre, especially if you're new to it. But I felt like there were some spots where the author took the easy way out which is why I, personally, couldn't give it 4 stars.
