I read this book a while ago and it was one of the first horror books I read. It might have even been the first.
I love horror movies but for some reason just never got into the horror books. Until this one.
I finished this book in a very short amount of time. I was hooked from the beginning and had a hard time putting it down.
The story is about a father and his son after they tragically lose their wife/mother. They move into a new (to them) house in a town that has a history involving a serial killer.
The killer, who was called The Whisper Man, before he was caught would lure people out of their bedroom windows in the dark of night. Someone was eventually arrested and put in jail for these murders.
Fast forward twenty years to when this story takes place, another little boy has been abducted in the same fashion as The Whisper Man. Who is still behind bars.
Local police must solve the case before anyone else is taken.
