I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It was a mix of different father and son relationships. It shows that people can grow up and choose how they want to live their lives. They don't have to follow in their fathers footsteps, but for some it just happens.
The little boy in this book Jake has a hard time dealing with the loss of his mother. Him and his mother were super close. Jake and his dad, not so much. Jake and his father both try and navigate their relationship now that its just them.
There was a paranormal element to this book that I also enjoyed. Sometimes imaginary friends aren't just in the imagination. They just may be a ghost.
