This book is intriguing from the very start. The letter in the introduction leaves a lot of unanswered questions. The first chapter gives some insight into the meticulous manner of the villain without yet giving a motive. I want to continue reading through all the twists and turns sure to come. The author is very descriptive without sounding dry or boring. This is a new-to-me author and I am enjoying the writing style already. I feel like I can see through the villain's eyes, starting to see through his mind, and I am feeling pulled into the story already. I want to read the rest of the book! I would recommend this book just based upon the excerpt that I read. I will be looking for more titles from this author.
