If you leave a door half open, soon you'll hear the whispers spoken....

This book was recommended to me by a friend for a Thriller/Horror reading challenge. I thought it sounded intriguing and chose it to be the book I would read in the dark. It was the perfect blend of mystery and spookiness, which was amplified by the fact that I was surrounded by darkness, only having a small book light to read with. I really liked the style of writing. I love when books are told from multiple perspectives vs only through the main character. It was interesting to see how Tom and his son Jake viewed one another considering their relationship wasn't the best after Tom's wife, Rebecca, dies. What really creeped me out was Jake and his conversations with his imaginary friends. Especially the line, "I want to scare you".
