Thought-provoking, suspense, page-turner, gripping.

The Whisper Man’s a perfect thriller, I highly recommend this book. I loved the writing style, it pulled me in and kept me in the story focusing on every word, sitting on the edge of my chair. The plot centers around a father Tom and son Jake Kennedy. Both of them experience trauma early in the story finding themselves trying to cope with grief, loss, and hope. The story is written primarily from the father’s point of view, but changes between each chapter. The reader’s taken into a different view point in each chapter, that includes the son’s point of view too, but mostly between the father and the police investigation of a missing child. I found the writing style surprisingly unique, the author discreetly has the character talk directly to the reader, asking them questions, making the reader feel part of the story. So fantastically brilliant!

The plot, characters, and story line are extremely well developed with intrinsic details, multiple twists and turns, keeping the book in your hands, turning the pages. I simply adored the relationship between the father and son, that’s what emotionally attached me to the story, and still has me there, hoping there‘s a second book. The book doesn’t leave any questions, everything you think about as you read is answered in the end. The ending is extra special, well worth reading all night. The book is scary but in a way realistically children get kidnapped everyday and that stays with you after reading this book. Believe me, you will be checking your door lock after reading this amazing story.
