“The Whisper Man” wins the award for the creepiest thriller I’ve ever read! I didn’t find this one to be extremely fast-paced (some parts even dragged a little since I wasn’t super attached to the characters) but wow did it give me chills. I really enjoyed the story and the creepy elements the author mixed in, with layers of different viewpoints and a tense story-line throughout the novel. However, it took me a bit to get past the “troubled detective haunted by a previous case” cliche and actually get connected to the story-line.
