Tom Kennedy’s wife has passed away and he is left to raise his son Jake on his own. To start fresh, they move to a new house. Jake immediately believes the House is haunted. The town is also struggling through the disappearance of a boy. The town has a history of missing boys from the Whisper Man, a criminal who used to lure children out of their rooms with whispers at night.

This book definitely gave me chills. From the killer to a possible supernatural aspect, I couldn’t get over how creepy this book was. I could not put this book down...or read it alone.

I loved the exploration of the father-son relationships in this novel. The emotions were raw and it really shown a light on how difficult it can be for a parent alone. It showed how hard it can be for parents to connect with children, even though the love is there.

The Whisper Man is a well plotted and book that will give you goosebumps. Although I was able to guess the biggest twist, I loved reading this book. I can’t wait to see what Alex North does next!
