I could hardly resist reading this book; I couldn't put it down I loved the way Alex North left me guessing with little clues throughout the novel. I truly felt for Jake, Tom, and the other characters as I read each one's unique story. North wrote each one with details and surprising connections between all the characters leaving me wondering how it would all wrap up. I was left guessing who the "whisper man" was until the end, which made this novel gripping to read. I loved seeing the father-son relationships develop and be revealed throughout the novel. However, I was expecting it to be a little creepier, based on what others had said. I guess that’s because I read a lot of thrillers though so it takes a lot to creep me out!
