This excerpt had me hooked from the very first page and I already can't wait to read the rest of the book! There is a sense of darkness and mystery that I really like, and it almost reminds me of Criminal Minds (my favorite show) in a way. It is told from multiple perspectives, although it is interesting because each chapter heading doesn't name whose perspective it is. However, the author's writing style for each character is so distinct, that it was easy to tell whose perspective you were reading without it being explicitly named. I'm looking forward to the rest of the story!
