Oooooh... creepy serial killer plus parent story plus serious suspense - sign me up!

I'll be honest - the cover is what drew me in... The blurb sounds intriguing, the story opens strong with a lot of drama and suspenseful potential - but the cover is what hooked me. I've got a 6 year old; the horror of a child abduction story is one of those "look away - but secretly peek from behind my covered eyes" topics for me. I don't want to look (desperately, as though I can prevent The Bad Things from happening if I don't watch) but can't help myself (because a secret small part of me is convinced that if I keep watch, The Bad Things can be thwarted). This one triggers all those instincts and sounds like a great read for me!
