As a a mom any books that deal with children being murdered or kidnapped punches me in the gut and for that reason I had a hard time reading the first impression. The writing was good and the pacing was excellent. I also am curious as to the letter to Jake but I wont be asking for a copy just because of the story and the child aspect but I think this will be a great thriller.
