The cover is what first jumped out at me. The stark black and white and the creepy handprint/butterfly has me wanting to know more. I might be able to guess the handprint from reading the synopsis, but why the butterfly? Also it has me guessing who the little boy is on the cover.
After reading the first few chapters, I already have chills. The story starts with a note from Tom to his son, Jake. Tom and Jake have recently moved to start afresh after the death of Toms wife and Jake's mom. They soon find themselves caught in the middle of the towns serial killer who's preying on young children. The story then takes off with a young boy being targeted by said serial killer! The whispering aspect is so creepy and spine tingling, but I need to read more! I have to find out what happens to the little boy and probable eventually might happen to Jake.
