The first few sentences made goose bumps pop up on my arms. I could see the young boy walking slowly home, unaware that every move he made was being watched. Knowing the watcher knew so much about the boy made it scarier. You knew something bad was going to happen, but had to keep reading. And all of this took place before the central characters were even introduced! Now I am getting close bumps worrying about Jake and what will happen next.
