The Whisper Man has a soft rhythm that tricks you into a false sense of security, as eerie details are revealed little by little. The book alternates between multiple perspectives. Jake and his father are moving to a new house, and his father worries about him because he's always alone and has imaginary friends. Meanwhile, Pete and Amanda are detectives working on the case of a missing boy and signs seem to point to a nonfamily abduction. I am so curious to see how the storylines will intersect. The cover is fantastic, creepy and containing multiple symbols.
