Creepy, Pulls me in, great character development

The Whisper Man is going to be a creepy book, I can tell already from the sample. For starters, nothing is better than a small child talking to someone who isn't there. Then you add in a tragic backstory and a floundering father, I'm already hooked. The character development is great already in just a few short paragraphs. I'm interested to see where the two stories are going to tie together, Jake & his father... and poor little missing Neil. I wish I had the full book to read now, I don't want to put this story down yet!
