Wow.. so I really like romance, not much into insta-love but I still enjoy it when is written with background and makes sense for the story, but "The Wedding Date"? didn't and took it way too far.
So you have Alexa who's close to thirties, she is a prune, shy but somehow has a blackbone that shows rarely (just with this guy and friends) and is extremely insecure about everything. And then you have Drew who's a doctor, funny, there is some hint that maybe he is an a**hole but he is the dream of all single ladies (I mean, he told his girl that he didn't do girlfriends and she still told him that she was going to go with him to the wedding of his exgirlfriend and exbestfriend, so either he is a god or the girl doesn't have anyself respect, so let's go with the first). They met in an elevator that gets stuck for maybe 15 minutes? And bamm! He asks her if she will go to the wedding with him and she says yes... explain to me how that makes any sense... to me honest I would still read it just to see what happens, but I don't know how it can get better than that.
