Jasmine Guillory was one of the first authors to get me into reading contemporary romances novels. I absolutely adore her work, she has a way of creating mutli-layered characters that feel so real and tangible that you just have to love them. This book is the first of her series following Alexa and Drew, both career focused individuals with undeniable chemistry. The fake dating trope played out beautifully throughout this novel. After Drew invites her to be his fake date to a wedding (after they got stuck in an elevator ride together) follows a series of meet ups and intimate moments together that felt so natural to watch develop. As they grow closer, thy have to figure out where this relationship they have is actually going. Just a friends with benefits type or the real deal? I loved how headstrong and intelligent Alexa is, she is a powerful and wonderful woman that really pushes Drew to be better.
