Easy, lighthearted read. Wish there was a bit more to the plot of the book. It fell a little flat for me in the middle.
The beginning and ending had detailed action aspects and I found the characters were diverse and likable.
Romantic comedy is a newer genre for me - typically I like books with more substance. This one felt like it had a balance between fun and a bit of depth.
I enjoyed that race and privilege was prevalent in the book but not a controversial topic that pulls characters apart. There was a sense of learning and cohesion between both the characters by the end.
Also love the ‘fake relationship turned real’ romance trope. There’s something so hilarious and honest that makes the story lovable.
