I almost never read romance, but I might have to change that after reading The Wedding Date. This book is very fun and VERY spicy. I picked it up thinking I would sneak in a chapter or two in between chapters of another book I’m reading, but I ended up throwing myself into this book completely. One thing I found odd was that it seems like their relationship was built solely around food and sex? Which makes sense in the beginning of a relationship, but we didn’t really see them bond that much emotionally. I feel like a lot of that growth took place off the pages and I would have liked to read about more of that. The food in this book sounds amazing though—I had a hard time not being hungry while reading it. I always struggle with how unrealistic romance novels can be, but this story was just what I needed to take my mind off of the craziness of the real world.
