One that I would recommend to lovers of Romance novels

Overall I found the book interesting and engaging. It has been a hit on booktube, and found it recently at a book sale supporting my local library. I enjoyed the romance between Alexa and Drew, it was sweet and felt plausible. It was modern and had a leading character whose self-confidence increased with her relationship, not because of her relationship. It was refreshing to read a novel whose characters were in a mix raced relationship. Representation in this area matters and am glad to read of it in this novel. The issue of race was not the only means of representation but also body size and the novel praised the body type the protagonist Alexa had. The novel's prose was easy to read and flowed right off the page. The language was approachable and kept me captivated. It was empowering and expressed a message of love and acceptance. Coming into this novel I knew that it would be the first of its kind for me for this is not a genre of books that I usually enjoy but was pleased overall with the book itself. I gave the book 3.5 stars.
