I finished reading a few days ago but wanted to take a day to get my thoughts together on this book. First I want to say that I love Alexa. She's funny, witty and intelligent. I thought Drew came across as charming and polite. I also loved the idea of the book. Two strangers meet in the elevator and decide to go to a wedding together. What I didn't like was the self doubt in BOTH characters. Drew was also SO quick to go from nice charming guy to jerk in zero seconds. I didn't get that. I didn't like that his character was so bipolar. There was no background on Drew so it was really hard to even understand where that anger came from. All we know is he's a doctor and that the bride is an ex and the groom was a friend of his. Alexa had a little bit more back story which I think is why I liked her more.

I did not care for her insecurities, but I know that everyone has them so I didn't focus on them. I did think it was odd that for someone who was worried about being too curvy she didn't have any problem eating donuts every day (or so it seemed) and nothing but take out food for the rest of the time. I actually LOVED that the characters actually ate food AND they didn't seem to care about every single calorie they ingested.

I rated this book only 3 stars because this book was basically 50% sex, 25% food and the rest was story. I actually would have loved if it was flipped so that we got more story and less sex. Maybe I'm forgetting about how much a new couple has sex since I've been married 22 1/2 years but WOW. I don't know how they are going to build a relationship on all that sex and make it survive but I sure would have loved to hear more about their relationship!
