Initially promising, ultimately disappointing. DNF.

It was promising in the beginning with the whole "don't bring a sandwich to a buffet" expression, but then it goes downhill from there. Everything that happens from there on is a bunch of cliches, and I'm usually all for cliches because I'm one of those who can watch romcoms over and over, no matter how predictable the ending, but this is just not the case when I have to read the cliches, combined with unexciting delivery, meh characters. I wanted to like, but I just couldn't. DNF at 37%.

Very similar to one of my all-time favorite romcoms The Wedding Date, starring Debra Messing and Dermot Mulroney - however, the comparison ends at that. I didn't feel at all connected with the characters - they were too bland. I could not find a redeeming quality, even though I really wish I liked it more.
