Alexa and Drew just met-- in a stranded elevator. Drew tells his woes about the wedding he is attending, including how his date now dropped him. As they get off the elevator, Drew asks Alexa to be his date.
That's well and good, until Alexa finds out it's a Black Tie Optional dress code, for which she has nothing. She needs two new dresses! A friend who is a stylist bails her out by taking her shopping for one rehearsal dress and one wedding attire dress suited for black tie optional dress code. What an expensive date!
Of course, it's always easier for guys. They rent the right kind of tux and all is said and done. Women, though, .... sigh. Our hair, our shoes, our Spanx, our need for the "just right for this event" clothing, it's just a full gamut of things that get us prepared for things.
And now, I just want to see how the "fake new girlfriend" thing goes from here. I can't wait!
