I love the fake dating trope, so I was excited walking into this one. I've seen it a few times on Bookstagram, and wanted to give it a shot! While this had the potential to be sexy and steamy, it lacked that spark for me. I also think that the clean romance angle for this one made it less interesting. Like if most of the plot is going to revolve around the relationship being built on sex, I would have liked some smut, I guess.
Overall, I enjoyed this, but it did feel anticlimatic and pretty slow. I just wanted something more to happen. There was almost no conflict, and it felt like the way their relationship builds was relying mostly on sex. I know how long distance relationships can go (my now husband and I started as long distance) but it could be hard to believe this.
I just would have liked more of a built up. More of a 3.5 or 3.75 rating, but rounding up to 4.
