I read this book over vacation and it was a perfect vacation book. The writing was good and since reading this first one, I have read the next three books in the series. This one and the next one remain my favorites.
I consider this book a "Hallmark movie" read, as the ending is predictable, but isn't that what makes these vacation reads worth it? Life is so complicated and this is a perfect book to read if you want to zone out and enjoy a sweet romance. The writing in this book is simple but enjoyable and the characters are relatable. I found myself rooting for them to get together. Alexa was a driven female character which I always enjoy, especially in books in the romance genre. She knows what she wants and is very knowledgeable. Drew is sweet, and an ideal love interest.
