The Wedding Date starts right with a cover! It jumps into a great meet-cute, with the two main characters meeting in an elevator that gets stuck. After sharing cheese and crackers that Olivia happened to have in her purse, Drew confesses that he needs a date for wedding. Olivia agrees to be that date, and the relationship begins. There is a definite happily ever after ending. This was an interracial relationship, but it really just felt like a love story.
I wanted to like this book, and in some ways I certainly did. However, I'm old-fashioned, so I don't like graphic sex, and I dislike gratuitous swearing. I lost count of how many times the f-bomb was dropped. I would have given this book four stars if not for that.
