After Alexa Munro meets a handsome doctor, Drew Nichols in an elevator, we get to follow their quirky, sexy journey from lust to love. This story was very cutesy, where the nights were very steamy, and the mornings were very filling...filled with doughnuts, that is!
I do love a sexy romantic story with depth. But this one fell a bit short for me. I didn't connect to the writing style as strongly as some other fun, sexy romance novels I've devoured. But I did still enjoy reading The Wedding Date. I also enjoyed reading a book about an interracial couple, as I believe that that is something that could always use more representation in literature.
I do have Guillory's follow-up novel, The Proposal to read next!
