This was a fun, quick read. Alexa, a City Hall official, meets Drew, a doctor, when they are stuck in an elevator and she winds up being his wedding date. Not just that, but they end up getting into a relationship with lots of hot sex and, unfortunately, frequent flyer miles since she lives in San Francisco and he lives in L.A.

I liked Alexa's character because she is a strong woman who has bouts of insecurity about her body and her relationship. She doesn't quite know where it's going, and this is where the main conflict lies. She also doesn't apologize for her doughnut addiction.

I also loved the diversity in this book. Alexa is African-American and Carlos, Drew's friend, is Latino.

I thought the book was repetitive at times and I wished the subplot between Alexa and her sister Olivia was stronger. But, overall, it was a fun time.
