I read The Proposal last year. I wish I had read them in order only because if you read the 2nd one first, you already know how the 1st one ends. Although honestly, I think we all know that most romcoms are going to end with a HEA, so it wasn’t a huge spoiler.
In The Wedding Date, Alexa and Drew get stuck in an elevator together and somehow Drew ends up with Alexa as his date to a wedding he’s dreading. He ends up saying that she’s his girlfriend and the “fake dating” trope begins….which I love. Alexa and Drew immediately feel an attraction and a one-weekend fake relationship ends up being not enough for them. My only complaint about this book is how long they continue to see each other for hook ups and both pretend that it’s nothing more. I wanted to yell at them to grow up and communicate. But then, the book would have ended so much sooner. The book is steamy and Alexa and Drew just seem perfect for each other.
