The Wedding Date is one of the best romance books I’ve read in the last ten years.
Alexa works in the Berkeley mayor’s office and ends up stuck in an elevator with Drew. He’s in town for a wedding and asks Alexa to be his date. He’s a doc in LA. This book is the first in a series of great romances between these characters and their friends.
Drew and Alexa try to take their long distance romance to the limit, but there is a lot to overcome.
One, it’s an interracial romance and Drew has some learning to do. Second, they live in two different cities and can’t hang out without logistics coming into play.
It’s a romance novel and the first in a series so it’s easy to guess that they could find a way. If you like your romance novels hot, hot, hot, well you’re going to like this book. If you like deeper romance novels that aren’t fluff (not that there’s anything wrong with a light read), you’re going to love this book.
