The Wedding Date by Jasmine Guillory is a contemporary romance. It is the first in a series, and, my favorite of the ones I have read so far. Drew and Alexa meet in an elevator in a hotel - they get stuck in it together. Anyway, Drew is in desperate need for a date for his friend's wedding and Alexa agrees to go with him - which is very surprising to her friends and sister. She has a great job working for the mayor and really focuses a lot on work. Drew is a doctor and also puts most of his effort into his job. But, even with their busy schedules, these two keep finding reasons to get together - and, yes, it is steamy! I appreciated that this was about an interracial couple and that other books in the series also have diverse characters.
