This was a cute, albeit somewhat predictable, romance story of Alexa and Drew. They meet in a broken elevator, and Drew spontaneously asks her to be his fake date for a wedding he needs to go to, only for them to find they want to get to know each other better. The struggles of long distance relationships, as well as the struggles of biracial relationships, are some of the topics discussed in this book.
It was a quick read, and there are parts that were really cute. I adored Drew's friend, Carlos, and would love to see a follow up book where he meets someone. I was surprised that we never saw more members of the wedding party/wedding guests later in the book, as they were still somewhat regular in Drew's life (according to things that happen at the wedding).
