I'm relatively new to this genre, but I loved reading Guillory's The Wedding Date for its skillful use of tropes combined with a diverse cast which I loved! I soon picked up The Proposal after reading this, and definitely recommend to anyone looking to find a romantic contemporary with a really diverse cast.

I do have to know that sometimes the novel just felt a little repetitive--like the sex scenes I ended up skimming over, and they began to blend together for me. So the middle did end up sagging a little, but I'm not too sad about that, because I think the climax and beginning were executed really well!

Overall, I enjoyed reading, but after reading The Proposal, I think Guillory has improved a lot from her first book to her second book!
