I really loved the beginning of this book. The main characters had great chemistry and I was looking forward to the fun that came with fake dating storylines, but things quickly changed.
The two main characters were both dealing with personal issues both stemming from low self esteem and it was increasingly frustrating when they wouldn’t talk about their feelings and how those issues came in the way of it. I completely understand how their relationship wasn’t very defined which made it hard to tell if they should talk in that way together, but they’re also both adults. I was hoping that maybe they would both work on themselves and then come together when they were more comfortable with themselves. Or even work together to get over their problems, but instead it was just “you make me better” without showing that (except Alexa mentioned a few times how she never felt self conscious around him).
Overall, I wouldn’t not recommend this book. It had a promising start so I am going to read more from the author but I definitely wouldn’t go back to reread this book or jump to give it to someone else
