I couldn’t wait to read the Wedding Date and it did not disappoint! It is a modern, rom-com, with REAL people and I love that it took place in the Bay Area. Alexa and Drew meet in a stuck elevator and as luck would have it, end up going to a wedding together- can’t you just see this as a movie already? What follows is a fabulous story of a two people trying to figure out if this is just a weekend thing or something more. Jasmine Guillory creates genuine, authentic people of color that you don’t see enough of in this genre and it is so refreshing. The story is just fun and the perfect summer, toss in your beach bag read. Even the side characters are well developed. So grab a glass of wine, or head to the beach and enjoy this one!
