A swoonworthy, modern romance
Beginning with its adorable red and white, eye-catching cover, this book drew me in quickly and easily.
One thing I’ve noticed as an avid reader of romance is that after a while, the genre seems stale- like you’re reading the same book over and over, only with different character names and a different location.
I’m glad to say that this was definitely not the case with The Wedding Date. Beginning with Alexa and Drew’s chance meeting in an elevator, I felt that this book was fresh and unique from the start.
Alexa and Drew are both extremely likable characters, and I adored how their chemistry, friendship, and eventually relationship developed throughout the book. I felt like it was depicted fairly realistically, and I was rooting for them to become a couple for the majority of the book.
If you like reading romance novels in general, you’ll enjoy this book. Even if you don’t like romance, there’s a fairly decent chance you’ll enjoy this one, too.
