This was really cute!
I liked that the protagonist was a larger girl with some body issues, but that she was able to overcome that. Also appreciated that she was African American and that the author did deal with some racial issues, but it wasn't overly done. I did think that Drew was continuously a complete ass to Carlos and wonder why Carlos even puts up with him anymore.
The writing felt a little forced in the beginning, and I was a little annoyed by how much she kept ogling him and awkwardly staring at his ass, but once the story got going, I didn't notice the writing at all and everything flowed easily for a quick read.
Overall it was enjoyable, and I read it all in one day, always a good sign! 3.5/5
