Both Alexa and Drew are a bit flawed (one has serious moments of lacking confidence and the other is a total commitment-phobe) and that's something that helps the story feel more real. They are way too perfect otherwise. I mean, a pediatrician with a killer body and a wicked sense of humor that just happens to love children, eating good food, and curvy ladies? They do exist, but flaws make them real.
The pacing is good and the plot has nice twists and details to keep it interesting throughout. It veered a bit to close to melodrama a couple of times, but the charm and sense of humor I mentioned earlier also applies to the writing and saved it.
