The sample for The Wedding Date is so promising. We've already been given a meet-cute between Drew and Alexa when they get caught in a hotel elevator, and begin to share stories to pass the time. It's not long, however, until the elevator is fixed and they're seemingly going on their ways, but Drew throws a curveball by asking Alexa to accompany him to the wedding of his ex, hence the title The Wedding Date. There's just so much promise already. The brief interaction between Drew and Alexa was really cute, and the obvious chemistry between them just jumps right off the page. Their subsequent texting reads quick and funny, building up for when I'm assuming they'll meet again at the rehearsal dinner. I'm really excited to continue reading this book. I can't wait to see where the story takes us next because as we know from this brief sample: Alexa and Drew live on opposite sides of the country. We'll see how they navigate that!
