The cover is cute. I like the simplicity of the graphics dancing around the font of the title and author's name. The color scheme is one of my favorites, though (red, black, white), so I am not sure if it's just a bias or if I truly like it for it's style. Either way, I enjoy it.

The simple title, The Wedding Date, serves the same purpose and receives the same appraisal and appreciation.

The first two chapters, are nice introductions to the characters of importance. First we meet Alexa and Drew in the fateful elevator scene. Then Alexa meets her sister Olivia for some light banter in the hotel room scene. Then Drew texts a friend and runs into a fellow wedding "friend" and dishes a little about Alexa to both. After that Alexa meets with her boss, the Mayer and co-workers and more fun banter ensues.

We can clearly see that Drew is more grateful about the luck of finding a girl last minute; and Alexa is more curious as to why she actually said she'll do it in the first place.

The rest of the sneak peak reveals a bit more about just how lucky Drew is at this happening last minute; and how confused Alexa is at this happening, that she needs her sister and friend Maddie's banter at it being good Practice to eventually relax and have fun with it.

Symbolism

I think the black white and red cover has meaning more than race and the color of the dress she's wearing to the wedding, but I am not sure what it is. Aside from my seemingly bias digging of the cover, I think that it has symbolic meaning that will soon be revealed. And if not, the races and color of dress is a cute way to cover this story too.

Take away

While I am usually not into purely, solely romance stories; this one has me in it's simplistic and puristic grip.
